2016 Historic Districts Commission Meeting Schedule*

* Complete application must be submitted to the Planning Department by 4:00 pm on the Application Submittal Deadline in order to appear at the next scheduled meeting of the Historic Districts Commission. This requires all application materials: certified abutters list; application fee; and required application materials found at the HDC page found on the Town of Falmouth website http://www.falmouthmass.us/deppage.php?number=474
Meeting dates are subject to change and will be properly posted in Town Hall 48 hours in advance. The March 1st meeting is tentatively rescheduled to March 8th in order to maintain HDC quorum.

PLEASE NOTE: Pending voter approval, the Historic Districts Commission and the Historical Commission may be combined by-mid 2016. Meeting dates and application submission times will be subject to change.

Mission Statement for The Falmouth Historic Districts Commission

To preserve the historical character of the buildings and their settings in the historic districts through the review of plans for new construction, and for renovation and demolition of existing structures. All work visible from a public way within the districts requires a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Commission before a building or sign permit can be granted by any town department.

Applicants are directed to contact the HDC through the Planning Office at (508) 495-7440 if they have any questions related to an application for Certificate of Appropriateness.
