The Department of Natural Resources enforces the rules and regulations of hunting, fishing, shell fishing, and Wetlands Protection Act in the town. The department deals with marshland, docks, illegal dumping, driving of recreational vehicles, parking and driving on the beach, wildlife management programs, habitat analysis, and animal control. In addition, the Shellfish Division of the Natural Resouce department is responsible for the propagation and management of shellfisheries and herring runs in the Town of Falmouth.
