Our Multi-Talented Life Guards
Mission Statement of the Beach Department

The Beach Department is responsible for maintaining and staffing 10 beaches in Falmouth, as well as selling resident and non-resident beach stickers. It also provides swimming lessons for children 4 years old and up, and conducts a lifeguard training class for children 15 years and older.

Employment.
Those seeking a position in the Falmouth Beach Department should do the following:
Parking Attendants
Submit an application for employment to the Falmouth Personnel Department no later than April 1, interviews will be held later in the month of April.
Lifeguards
Submit an application for employment to the Falmouth Personnel Department not later than May 1, lifeguard tryouts will be held at the Hyannis (West Barnstable) YMCA on a Saturday during May. Applicants must have Red Cross Lifeguard Certification and CPR, or be enrolled in an accredited training program to be allowed to participate in the tryouts.
