  1. Public Health Seminar: Substance Abuse

    April 26, 2017, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Falmouth Public Library Hermann Foundation Meeting Room

    This month's seminar will address how to recognize the difference between substance use, abuse and dependency. Also discussed will be how to determine the level of bystander and suggestions will be provided about interventions which would include community resources, as well as self-protection. The guest speakers will be Bill Ferney and Helen Malinowsky. Bill Ferney, M.Ed., LADC, CDAC, is a graduate of Cambridge College and has worked in the Recovery field since 1979 and is the Director of Recovery Services of Odonata Psychotherapy and Retreat Center and Clinical Director of Commitment Living. Helen Malinowski, MSW, LICSW is a graduate of the Boston University School of Social Work and is the Clinical Director of Odonata Psychotherapy and Retreat Center and has been working in the field of mental health and recovery services since 2004.
