The Senior Center Building Committee shall be appointed by the Board of Selectmen in accordance with relevant provisions of the Falmouth Home Rule Charter and Town Bylaws. The Committee shall consist of three (3) to five (5) members who are experienced in either building design, building construction, or engineering. Members of the committee shall serve until the committee is discharged by vote of the Board. The Committee shall collaborate with Town staff to achieve the shared mission of producing a Senior Center facility that best meets the needs of Falmouth seniors and the community at large within the available budget of $9.75 million. The Committee, with input from assigned staff, shall recommend to the Town Manager the Owner's Project Manager and architect to be selected for the project. The Committee shall participate with staff in developing a building design for approval by the Board of Selectmen. The Committee shall participate in construction administration subject to the approval of the Town Manager or his designee. The Committee shall be discharged by the Board upon completion and occupancy of the Senior Center.
