The five member Cable Advisory Committee (FCAC) is appointed by the Board of Selectmen. We ensure that the provisions of the town''s cable television contract(s) are implemented and play a significant advisory role in the process to approve new contracts. The Committee also serves as a liaison between cable customers and the cable company, and acts in an advisory capacity to the Selectmen and Town Manager for issues related to the cable contract. Falmouth currently provides a non-exclusive cable franchise license to Comcast. Satellite television providers are not required to have a license.
The Cable Advisory Committee acts as an ombudsman for Town citizens on matters such as unresolved billing errors and persistent repair problems.
The public is welcome to contact the Committee via email to report issues involving the following items that you have been unable to resolve with your cable provider:
- Billing errors
- Persistent repair issues
Please contact us after first making reasonable efforts to resolve these problems with your cable TV provider. E-Mail is the preferred contact mechanism and we will make every attempt to contact you back within five days. Please include your preferred method of contact.
Per federal and state regulations, the Cable Advisory Committee has jurisdiction over cable TV only. We do not have authority to intercede on problems involving Internet access, satellite TV, or voice telephone service.
